SEO is affected by many things including HTML. HTML is a collection of elements that structure your site. If you structure your site incorrectly, your SEO could be penalized.

Good Practice with Headings

One of the main HTML elements is called a heading. You can think of a heading like a page title, and there are different heading levels. The first is a level one heading, or H1, and it's good practice to include one per page (more than one is okay too). If there is no H1 then the search engine will not know what the topic of the webpage is and it might not rank favorably when people search for keywords related to the content of that page.

Option to Make Its Heading an H1:

- Featured Product
- Image Banner
- Image With Text
- Split Slideshow

In Summary

As long as you include one of the sections above on each page (and in the cases where it is a section from the "Option to Make Its Heading an H1" list, you toggle the "Use as hero" setting on) then you are good to go!

Image Alt Tags

Image alt tags are another great way to boost SEO. They consist of text associated with images that users can't actually see. However, for users who can't see and use screen readers, and for search engines that are looking for images with specific keywords, they will read these alt tags to gain understanding about an image that they otherwise would have no information about.
